4. I thought that we'd be working from a single pose all day-why didn't we?

We feel that a number of related tasks are more valuable in terms of learning than one continuous activity.
Many people share the expectation that life drawing is something like human still life where things happen very slowly if indeed they happen at all.
The workshop's main purpose is not to improve your drawing ability and fill your portfolio with grade raising work (although we hope that this happens as well) but to get you to think about drawing as a creative process. One in which risks are taken, responses explored, potential solutions compared, instincts acted upon and mistakes made. These things can lead to a better understanding of drawing. One or two immaculate pictures in your folder might not.
